  1. In Exploring Psychology on p. 363, explain what each of the four humors were, what they corresponded to, and what they meant.
  2. What are personality tests?
  3. What is the difference between an objective test and a projective test for the study of personality?
  4. The MMPI was first developed in the 1930s by psychologists to help diagnose psychological disorders.  What are the reasons for revisions?  What does the MMPI claim to discover?
  5. Why do psychologists believe that the MMPI should be followed up with interviews?
  6. What is the CPI?  Why is it used more than the MMPI by employers screening potential employees?
  7. What is the MBTI? What are the 4 different scales on the MBTI?  Explain what each scale does?
  8. What is the Rorschach Inkblot Test?  What are some of the systems for scoring the test and how do they work?
  9. What is the TAT?  How does it work and how is it scored?
  10. On page 368 and the Approaches to reducing test anxiety: after reading all of the approaches, which approach do you agree with the most?  What type of psychological approach does it represent?
